Summer Means Sculpture & Sparkling Wine at Art Santa Fe

 In Education, Events, Show Highlights
Saturday at Art Santa Fe brought more eager art fans out to the beautiful Santa Fe Community Convention Center for a day and evening full of interactive events, opportunities to connect with exhibiting artists, and an exclusive look at contemporary artwork from not just the southwest region, but also from around the world. David Perez Escudero, one of the artists featured at InArt Gallery Santa Fe’s booth, exclaimed, “It has been wonderful to see a variety of artists and attendees coming from all over the world!” Artists from South Africa displayed their paintings, sculpture, and more at the African Pavilion booths, while other exhibitors showcased works from Russia, Japan, Uruguay, Spain, China, Costa Rica, and other countries.

From 5–8 p.m., showgoers enjoyed sparkling wine from Freixenet at the Art & Antiques Collectors’ Lounge while mingling with other attendees and surveying the rich variety of work on display. And throughout the show floor, artists put on their smocks and took out their tools of choice in order to create art live in front of the crowds.

This afternoon, you’ll get another chance to check out the fabulous art that’s decking the walls of the convention center, as the show runs until 5 p.m. and includes more Meet the Artist events and Art Labs. Here’s a look at the full schedule. And if you’re following the event from afar, check out our video highlights to get a feel for the scene.

We hope to see you at the final day of the show! Make sure to follow Art Santa Fe on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for updates this weekend and leading up to next year’s show, and check back here for a full show recap soon, featuring sales highlights, exhibitor success stories, and more.
