2016 Curatorial Theme
Every year, Redwood Media Group’s contemporary art shows are each given a curatorial theme, which informs the show’s programming and provides a common thread throughout the special exhibits and show marketing. For 2016, Art Santa Fe’s show theme is [HORIZON]: Discover the dawning of a new innovation, a world of international artistry and originality stretching as far as the eye can see.
Art Labs are specially curated projects that are created in alternative spaces within the show by several leading Santa Fe-based art institutions, showcasing the thriving art landscape of the city.
The Spotlight Artist Program provides collectors a focused look at several cutting-edge artists recognized for their skill and achievement in the visual arts. The Spotlight Artists for Art Santa Fe 2016 are Jeffrey Bisaillon, modern abstract artist; Mary Johnston, contemporary landscape painter; Holly Grimm, abstract nature artist; and Siri Hollander, sculpture artist.
Art Talks offer attendees an inside look at the artistic experience by way of panel discussions, conversations, and provocative artistic discourse with leading artists, curators, designers, and art-industry professionals.
