Artist Bio:
Earl Nesbitt is an award-winning designer/craftsman now in his 30th year creating fine art furniture. Classically trained in the modern age with a one-year formal tuitioned apprenticeship in 1989/1990 under a master craftsman followed by employment in two high-end cabinetry shops working on a wide variety of items from ultra modern Park Avenue penthouse suite renovations to 1700s era farmhouse restorations. In 1995 he opened his own studio with a focus on creating sculpture in the form of fine art furniture.

With the New Mexico mountains as a backdrop, Earl has been working with galleries, interior designers, as well as private clientele to create unique custom pieces to enhance a wide variety of locations. His work has been shown across the country from New York to L.A. in galleries and numerous juried exhibits. From one-of-a-kind dining/conference tables and sets to custom contemporary cabinets and unique sculptural pieces, Earl has always worked to push his original designs to their limit, whether it be the choice of materials or the most intricate design detail.

Earl Nesbitt Fine Furniture LLC
Santa Fe County, New Mexico — 2019 — Earl Nesbitt is very excited to be returning to Art Santa Fe 2019 to showcase his new collection of original work. After many years exhibiting in other states Earl returned to his local New Mexico market last year for a very successful 2018 Art Santa Fe event, selling pieces off the floor and taking commissions from the always diverse Santa Fe patrons.

For over 30 years Earl has created one-of-a-kind pieces of custom made high end fine art furniture so look forward to engaging new designs! Each piece is functional sculpture, meticulously designed and built entirely by Earl in his southern Santa Fe County studio.

“I am very excited to return to the show with a larger, more accessible booth this year which will help visitors view my pieces in a 360 degree venue,” said Earl.

Earl was classically trained and completed a one-year formal tuitioned apprenticeship in New Hope, Pennsylvania in 1990. He then worked for two high-end cabinetry shops and in 1996 opened his own studio in New Mexico where he continues to create unique fine art furniture for clients across the country. His work showcases exotic and domestic woods, occasionally paired with glass, metal or various other materials. Earl always creates a wide variety of designs, so patrons can look forward to a little something for everyone!

“After custom furniture designer Earl Nesbitt takes a commission, he may work for months or even a year in his Edgewood shop before the customer sees the finished piece. ‘Because I do this for a living, it would be meaningless if the client didn’t like it,’ he says.”
